Confirmation Program 2026/2027

 

Thank you for registering your child in the Confirmation Program at St. Roch Parish.

 

Registration Form

 

Please fill in registration form and return it to our office no later than Friday, December 18, 2026.

 

Please ensure that a copy of your child’s baptism certificate is included with the registration form. (If your child was baptized here at St. Roch, simply indicate this on the form together with the date of

baptism. No certificate is required).

 

 

Sponsor information

 

Please note that on Page 2 of the registration form, you will need to provide information regarding your child’s sponsor.

 

Please note that we will also need a copy of the sponsor’s confirmation certificate to be attached to the registration form. (If the sponsor was confirmed here at St. Roch, a certificate is not required.  Simply indicate this on the form together with the date of confirmation).

 

PLEASE NOTE THAT for administrative purposes, registration packages will not be accepted after Friday, December 18th, 2026

 

 

Note:

 

  1. If your child has not been baptized or was not baptized in the Roman rite, or has not received the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, please contact the parish office directly at 416-749-0328.
  2. If you are not a registered member of St. Roch, if your child does not attend one of our parish schools, or even if your child does attend one of our parish schools and you attend another church, then we will need a letter from your local pastor giving permission for Confirmation to occur here.

 

Rite Of Enrollment

 

Students, parents and sponsors are asked to attend the Rite of Enrollment on Sunday April 4th, 2027 at 9:00 am Mass in the church. You will note that this is the same day as the first day of classes. Your personal attendance is extremely important and we ask that you do not send a representative.

 

Catechism classes

 

One of the requirements for Confirmation is the completion of a CATECHISM PROGRAM in order for your child to better understand and be prepared to receive this important sacrament.

 

Please note that ALL students, regardless if they attend Catholic school or private or public school must attend these classes. CATECHISM CLASSES will be held on Sunday mornings from 10:30 am - 11:30 am in the parish hall.

 

Dates For Classes

 

Note: Students are to attend the 9:00 am Sunday Mass in the church and then proceed to parish hall after the Mass for their class.

Confirmation Retreat

 

Students are also required to attend a Confirmation retreat. This is scheduled for Thursday May 13th, 2027 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm in the parish hall.

 

There will be a fee of $80.00 to cover the cost of the program. Fees are due and payable at the time of registration.

 

Confirmation Date: Sunday May 16th, 2027 at 2:30pm

(Note this date applies for students at either St. Roch School, Venerable John Merlini School or public/private schools.)
